Stevedore Leadperson - Ama, Louisiana
This is an hourly position.
Position Summary:
In this job you be asked to lead a shift that is responsible for the loading of an ocean going vessel. You will be required to know and understand all paperwork that goes with loading ocean going vessels. You will be asked to make vessel rotations, keep time logs, and fill out end of vessel reports. You also be in charge of a crew of two to three people who report directly to the stevedore leadperson.
Job Requirements:
- Must have a safe work record and be 100% safety minded
- Must have good written and oral skills
- Must have basic math skills
- Must be able to work shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to work alone or in small groups
- Must be able to be flexible in your hours and be able to work on short notice
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have or be able to acquire a TWIC Card
- Must be in good physical condition and be able to lift 50 pounds
