Normal Work Schedule

Note:    The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the direction of management and, while generally as shown below, may be changed (increased or decreased) by management as required.

Hours of Work:  Generally _7am to 4pm_ as scheduled by management with two 30-minute break periods. Overtime may be scheduled as needed and directed by management. Hours of work my vary due to seasonal requirements

Days of Work:   Normally Monday thru Friday as scheduled by management and Weekends/Holidays, if needed by           operations and approved by management.

The purpose of this position is to maintain Live Haul modules, holding sheds, Live Haul restraining equipment used for transportation of poultry. PM and Repairs as needed on all of the above

1.  Repair damages to cages ? by welding and replacing parts.

2.  Monitor cage damage and work with processing plant to replace cages from live haul trailers.

3.   Maintain and monitor cages for Poultry Welfare guidelines (log daily work done to cages)

4.   Assist Live Haul manager in special projects or requests.

5.  Must operate fork lift to move cages.

6.  Pick up any dead or live birds on complex or roadway.

7.  Maintain Holding sheds, repair/replace Fogger System and Fans

8.  PM of Trailers and Sheds

REQUIRED:   Vocational/technical school or equivalent training for 2 years in four areas on the maintenance classification requirements. Emphasis in MIG and TIG welding, Electrical, Plumbing and Sheet Metal. Must provide own basic tools.

Reading, writing, and math skills required.  High School diploma or equivalent preferred.  2 years of prior related experience

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:  Exposed to all environmental conditions found throughout the facility and job functions.  Ability to move throughout the facility.  Exposed to chicken feathers
and litter. Must be able to bend, stoop and lift up to 100 lbs.
