Job Description:
Duties will include execution of complex analyses, providing analytical expertise on multi-functional project teams, leading project teams, training and mentoring scientists and technicians both within the Research Analytical Group and in ADM production QC laboratories, and developing methods in support of the research division of ADM. The position will involve development and application of sophisticated instrumental methods utilizing some or all of the following systems: HPLC, IC, GC, ICP, GC/MS, LC/MS, , ICPMS, FTIR, Raman and wet chemistry analyses.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph. D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or a closely related field, with 1-5 years relevant laboratory experience. Candidates with MS or BS degrees and extensive relevant laboratory experience (10+ years) will also be considered. Previous experience in the analysis of foods, fuels, organic chemicals or industrial fermentations is highly desirable. Experience with GC-MS, LC-MS-MS, advanced FTIR or Raman techniques, as well as HPLC, GC and elemental analysis is highly desirable. Successful candidates must have the ability to work independently, interact well with people and have clear written and oral communication skills. Position requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
