BASF's Crop Protection and Specialty Products businesses at BASF's facilities in North Carolina, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic State Registration Specialist with excellent project management and communication skills.  The position reports to the Product Registration Manager, NA Regulatory and Government Affairs-Biologicals. 
The successful candidate will prepare submission packages at the state level for both FIFRA and non-FIFRA regulated products to attain timely registration approvals of new products, as well as changes to existing ones. S/he will work with colleagues in the NA Regulatory and Government Affairs Department, as well as stakeholders within the various departments of BASF including biology, supply chain, customer service, manufacturing, marketing, EHS, and business development to plan, organize, complete and submit registration applications.
While coordinating efforts in all these areas, the candidate must also be able to work under constant pressure of meeting critical deadlines. Other responsibilities include monitoring state regulatory activities through interaction with industry and state associations. Required:
Bachelor's, or higher level, degree in agriculture, biology, chemistry, or related scientific discipline.
One to three years experience working in a business, laboratory, or governmental work environment.
Should have a basic understanding of biological and chemical processes as they relate to use, research and development.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Must be able to establish and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent project management skills; must be extremely well-organized; attention to detail is critical.
Preferred:
Experience working with regulated products.
Understanding of pesticide registration, plant growth enhancement and soil conditioning products.
