DuPont Pioneer is seeking an Engineering Software/Automation Intern. The Engineering Software/Automation Intern performs engineering assignments (development, maintenance, process, R/D, etc.) involving the application of established software/electrical technology and principles, and often requires coordination with other engineering and functional competencies to provide economical and expedient task implementation. The Intern may be assigned to lead the software development or electrical function associated with project, startups, and troubleshooting.
Provide full service Software or Control System projects:

    Software development activities including deliverable development, software development, software testing, and long term support.
    Lead role in project deliverables development including functional descriptions, project scopes, estimates and production design basis documents
    Work with project team to plan and execute detailed design
    Coordinate and interface with other Engineering disciplines to ensure overall project needs are met
    Support introduction of new product technologies on projects to enhance functionality and cost competitiveness
    Interface with sites to integrate requirements for ongoing operations and maintenance of systems
    Assist with check out and startup of projects as needed
    Network with DuPont Pioneer technology resources to support work process improvements or new process/product introductions
    Perform Process Monitoring & Control systems integration, application design and configuration
    Perform and document final acceptance testing for all computer systems

Skills:
Two to four years of study in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, computer science, or related fields required. Previous experience or internship with software development, instrumentation and control systems preferred.
  •     General working knowledge of project execution methodology
  •     The candidate should have experience in writing software using Microsoft Based tools, including Visual Studio, SQL Server and Team Foundation Server
  •     Good oral and written communication skills
  •     Good team player with good interpersonal skills
  •     Competent in efficient use of computer tools & engineering software
  •     Able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple jobs
  •     Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  •     Fluent oral and written English skills
