Purchasing, Shipping & Inventory Clerk
ADM Southern Cotton Oil
This is a full time, non exempt position
Basic Functions: Purchase and receive supplies, verifies and maintains records, inventory count on quantities, type, and value of material, merchandise, or supplies on incoming shipments.
Education: High School graduate or equivalency.
Job Requirements:
-Individual must be able to stand, walk and/or sit for extended periods; ability to lift up to 55 pounds; work in hot/cold environment; bend and kneel to count, read shipping/receiving labels, etc.
-Dependable, self motivated, good communication skills and ability to work well while unsupervised
-Good time management & organizational skills
-Able to multi-task as there are many distractions associated with this position
-Able to follow instructions
-Able and willing to work any required overtime and weekends
-Communicate & work well with plant employees & vendors
-Remember and recall information
-Place orders w/ vendors
-Issue and fill out purchase orders using our Maximo purchasing system
-Able to learn coding for each department and what items are taxable or tax exempt
-Receive orders both physically and in Maximo
-Maintain records of the person requesting the merchandise and notify them upon receipt of order
-Track orders to make sure they are delivered in a timely manner
-Maintain good housekeeping in purchasing office and stockroom
-Organize stock room
-Set up min/max inventories on items
-Monitor inventories regularly & reorder when min level reached
-Operate forklift
-Basic computer skills, must be at least somewhat familiar with Microsoft word & excel; the more proficient, the better
-Have good mathematical skills
