FC is currently seeking an Operations Intern. The responsibilities involve learning and assisting in all aspects of FCs grain and agronomy departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:

Grain
    Work in grain office learning about weighing, probing, grading and communicating bin designation with elevator operators.

    Assist in train loading for an understanding of the process.

    Gain understanding of different functions of an elevator including pits, legs, conveyors, maintenance, and housekeeping.

    Work in outside grain facility learning to operate CompuWeigh elevator controlling system.
    Learn how to segregate grain according to commodity, moisture level, and other grade factors. ?


Agronomy

    Work at fertilizer plant mixing, loading trucks, reading work orders and maps, etc.
    Learn dispatching of work orders, floaters, tender equipment, etc.

    Ride with a Field Sales Agronomist on calls, taking orders, soil sampling, grid sampling, crop scouting, etc.

    Learn about and perform seed treating.
    Learn about FCs Precision Ag Department.

Must currently be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year post-secondary institute.
