A leading agricultural processing and refining facility is ambitiously seeking a Commodities Manager for their upper Midwestern location.
Very progressive in its approach to provide superior product and service to its customers, this company is searching for someone who shares its entrepreneurial spirit.
This facility is also in the process of expanding its operation and has financial backing from a very profitable and stable ag-related company.

Commodities Manager Functions:

* Manage procurement and logistics activities associated with the plant
* Assure sufficient product is procured and delivered to plant site at the lowest possible cost consistent with company's risk management policy and margin objectives
* Provide leadership and initiative in the plant's surrounding region to increase acreage and form strategic partnerships with respective stakeholders to sustain and improve crush margins

Commodities Manager Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field
* Minimum 10 years of experience in an ag-related business
* Minimum 5 years of experience in agriculture commodities procurement
* Current Series 3 license-Futures and Commodities or the ability to obtain
* Demonstrated capability in commodities risk management, trading, hedging, futures and options account management
* Excellent team building skills
* Ability to supervise grain receiving and storage personnel
* Excellent written and oral communication skills to include public speaking and sales presentations
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
* Ability to positively interact with internal personnel, customers, producers and vendors
* Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
* Ability to meet deadlines, achieve objectives, manage confidential information and work cooperatively in groups
* Previous experience developing new markets and/or crop production preferred

Compensation:

* $110K to $120K + bonus
