The Coordinator provides daily administrative, operational, logistical, and program support to Save the Children’s Washington DC-based Maternal Child Health Integrated Program (MCHIP) team and Country Offices as needed. Ensure coordination and efficiency in the day to day operations of the SC MCHIP team by serving as a central point for communications and logistics, both internally and externally (mainly with MCHIP partners). Maintain office systems to ensure that the unit functions smoothly.

Responsibilities:
Administrative and Operational Support – including meeting coordination; management of team calendar; travel and visa support; arranging logistics for global meetings; helping prepare presentations; managing central shared electronic files and processing agreements.

Program Support – including supporting core an/or country workplan development process as requested; reviewing and editing program documents; managing receipt, editing and storage of trip reports; supporting communication with field staff and organizing and attending MCHIP Country Support Team meetings as requested.

Grants and Finance Support – including drafting and processing subgrant agreements through internal approval systems; reviewing travel expense reports and advance reconciliations; assisting in processing purchase orders for office supplies and equipment; participating in budget preparation as requested.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent required

At least 2 years administrative experience in an office environment (NGO preferred)

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Proficiency in English and other foreign language – preferably French – strongly preferred

International development experience and familiarity/experience in global health very highly preferred

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills required

Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as part of a team

Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and prioritize

Exceptional attention to detail

Ability to work in high pressure environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
