Grow Yard Assistant Manager

An innovative, nationally recognized cattle organization is seeking an Assistant Manager for their cattle growing operation located in Nevada.

The successful candidate should:

•     Be a motivated self-starter.
•     Be goal orientated and performance driven.
•     Be able to communicate goal and performance expectations to all team members and company leaders.
•     Create accurate reports and inventory balances.
•     Train staff and establish company Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

•     5 Years of Feedlot experience.
•     Possess a strong working knowledge of the Cattle Industry.
•     Have a hands on leadership and management style.
•     Be experienced in Grow Yard and Holstein Heifer development operations and applications.
•     Have a successful understanding of High Risk Cattle.
•     Be a leader in team motivation, supervision and scheduling, with excellent people skills.
•     Possess a reputation of integrity.

Responsibilities:

•     Oversee all daily feedlot activities.
•     Animal health and feeding.
•     Assign tasks and create schedules.
•     Furnish accurate inventory information and reports.
•     Establish and manage maintenance protocols for equipment, buildings and pens.
