Trade Marketing Coordinator Gourmet Chocolate-Milwaukee, WI

ADM Cocoa has a Trade Marketing Coordinator opening within its North American group. ADM Cocoa is one of the largest cocoa bean grinders and industrial chocolate producers in the world and is a key component of ADM's global food business portfolio. ADM Cocoa operates plants in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
The Role
The position is based in Milwaukee, WI and the candidate will be responsible for providing marketing and customer support to the gourmet sales team.
The role is highly interactive and will involve extensive contact and communication with customers and members of the gourmet sales team.
Successful performance in the role will require knowledge of cocoa products, technical knowledge, the ability to work in groups and the ability to coordinate activities with the gourmet sales managers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in food product marketing and sales support with experience in gourmet or high-end markets preferred
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with customers and multiple internal departments including customer service, research & development and sales
- Knowledge of food product marketing, distribution and sales
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist and support sales managers
- Interact with customers and respond to customer requests
- Conduct online marketing management tasks, including collection, population and management of customer/prospect addresses in web management database
- Proofread and order printed materials (labels, catalogs, leaflets, flyers)
- Assist European marketing team with flying design
- Responsibility for sample management (entering OE samples, order fill samples, request samples from Europe)
- Research pricing and development and propose new promotional initiatives
- Participation in trade shows, including booth selection, recording sample requests, coordination of orders with chefs
- Participation in chef presentations, including preparation of chef needs, logistical coordination with Chefs and preparation of ingredients, products and marketing materials
- Cooperation with US chefs and support for European team on recipe development and organization
- Creation of specific marketing materials for distributors
- Coordinate day-to-day activities of two brands (domestic and imported)
- Execution of medial planning (e.g. negotiation with trade magazines, issuing and following up on press releases)
- Occasional customer service function as needed
Travel
Up to 30% travel for attendance at trade shows and other marketing/trade events
