SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities of this position include: initiate and co-ordinate technical evaluation, specification preparation and product recommendations for existing and potential customers. Other responsibilities include:
Assist sales personnel with technical information that relates to maintaining existing and developing new business; work collaboratively with sales and operations to achieve efficiency improvements and business growth; manage day to day activities of division's largest customer including adjustments to needs, shortages and surpluses along with overseeing management of raw material inventory; develop a strong working relationship with raw material suppliers and properly execute raw material procurement; understand meat standard costing system in particular to shrinks and yields thus being able to provide potential customers with accurate finished product quotations and understand all facets of the division's business.
Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience: 6+ years experience in Operations and or Sales related field. Must have a broad knowledge of fresh meats and/or food processing operations, and techniques and procedures in the meat industry.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Computer Skills: Standard computer knowledge and capable of producing reports.
Travel: 12 or more times per year.
