-Ability to AI preferred
-Basic computer skills

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a a small certified organic dairy in Massachusetts searching for a Herd Manager to supervise, coordinate, and run the day-to-day operations to include all aspects of grazing, herd health, and breeding. AI breeding and basic computer skills a plus.
This also includes all aspects of the parlor and milk room management including hands on milking.
Experience working in a organic dairy preferred but not necessary if person is open for it.
Must be self-motivated, organized, willing to work hard, be flexible, have lots of enthusiasm, and be able to express views and opinions. Need to be able to spot problems before they become an issue, have strong management experience along with a strong background in herd health. Dairy uses 55 acres for grazing. Dairy bottles own milk and makes cheese to sell locally.
