Lab Tech I - Edible Bean Plant, Enderlin, ND

This is a non-exempt level position.

Job Description:
Responsibilities include preparation and processing of finished product samples, performing, interpreting, and recording the results of analytical testing, preparing orders and documentation for shipping, inspection of finished products prior to shipment and inspection of equipment/plant for cleanliness. Attendance and punctuality is required. Applicant must possess great communication skills, attention to detail, and be capable of working independently and also with a team.  Basic computer and phone skills are necessary.

Willingness to cross train and become familiar with all lab equipment, and perform these duties as needed.  Show an understanding that all accidents are preventable and safety is everyone's responsibility.  Maintain awareness and adhere to all GMP, HACCP, EPA, OSHA, and employee standards and guidelines. Must maintain a focus on safety, quality, and integrity.

Requirements:
Candidate should be familiar with operating standard lab equipment (i.e., pH meter, balances) but not required. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Computer skills and competency in EXCEL and Word are preferred. Position may require the ability to stand for long periods, work in confined spaces and have good physical dexterity; i.e., bend, kneel, climb steps, and lift up to 50 lbs.  Must also be able to climb ladders and work in high places. Schedule will be an 8 hour day shift Monday through Friday (9-5), with the possibility of the occasional weekend or holiday.  On the job training is available.

Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
