SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for working with the various departments and managers to provide them with guidance, assistance, and recommendations to their various capital expenditures, major maintenance projects, and system support.
Other responsibilities include coordinating local projects through the corporate engineering groups, providing local on-site project management, scheduling, and planning for projects throughout the complex. Specific duties associated with the processing plant include working with the maintenance management team, and contractors & consultants.
Other duties include scheduling, planning and coordinating major equipment installations, over-seeing maintenance projects, and scheduling and coordinating the work of outside contractors at the processing plants, hatcheries, wastewater plants, truck shops, feedmill, and the complex office buildings.
Other responsibilities include preparing C.I.R. justification information, cost estimates, and drawings for C.I.R. submittals, tracking and monitoring C.I.R. commitments and charges to keep projects on budget, providing information on when C.I.R.s are ready to close. Meeting with contractors on their proposedprojects so as to compare cost estimates, working with utility companies when service problems occur or modifications to their system are under design or construction.

Other duties may include being responsible for developing, organizing,and managing the overall maintenance functions for the facility; coordinating maintenance service with production activities; planning and recommending manpower requirements for the maintenance department; training and developing managementTeam Members in all facets of the maintenance department; managing maintenance department in a manner to reduce down time; directing Team Members as required to furnish an efficient maintenance service for repairing, replacing, remodeling,or renovating plant facilities, equipment, machinery, and utilities; and any other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Engineering/College/Technical Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience: 5+ years experience.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skillls.

Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well (excellent written & oral skills) with all levels of team members to include management.

Travel: 1 to 5 domestic trips per year. Supervisory Skills: This position provides functional supervision for members of its work unit such as assigning work and training lower level positions.
