An established global seed company is searching for a Production Agronomist to cover the Pacific Northwest Territory.
This company provides the most advanced techniques in plant breeding to deliver first-class seed. They’ve invested millions to improve the infrastructure of their facilities to provide top-notch processing & quality assurance.

This position gives the opportunity to travel with the excepetion of some office (home) days.
They will cover WA, OR, N. CA, and possibly ID.
The main purpose of the position is to develop new relationships with growers and take care of existing accounts. Also, growers would look for you to apply advanced crop production technologies to improve efficiency and profitability.

Major Responsibilities:

* Maintain grower base to include 3rd party and direct contracts
* React to increase in production requirements
* Negotiation of contracts with growers having suitable agronomic skills, land, and machinery to achieve specified production targets within established rates and time frames
* Negotiation of freight rates from field to plant, between company owned facilities and to shipping ports.
* Safety and Compliance
* Production Research

Competencies:

* Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written)
* Proficient computer skills(Word, Excel, Internet)
* Ability to multi-task and keep high efficiency with growers

Compensation:

* $75,000-$85,000 DOE and full benefits
* Bonuses based on performance
