CHS has an exciting opportunity at our Oilseed Processing facility. We are looking for a Controls Engineer to join our growing team.
You will maintain Oilseed Processing and Refining PLC and programs.
You must be a self starter, organized and detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and able to work well independently.
You will:
Develop, maintain, document and troubleshoot process control PLC’s, computers, networks and programs for all Oilseed Processing facilities.
Participate in the selection and installation of process controls and computers with interface to control instrumentation
Program Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC’s in ladder logic, and create / maintain equipment tag database and configure HMI screens.
Troubleshoot and repair process computer problems, both during regular working hours and off duty hours as required.
Maintain documentation and records for the process control and computer systems.
Understand and draw electrical wiring diagrams.
Collaborate and work with outside vendors, contractors, production and engineering.
Up to 50% travel, National and International, to other facilities as needed.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Up to 5 years of experience in computers, electronics and PLC’s with a full understanding of interface between field instrumentation, PLC’s and computers.
Able to travel up to 50% both, domestic and international
Experience in the food process industry
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET programming
Experience with field instrumentation, PLC’s and AutoCAD
