We currently have an exceptional career opportunity for an Assurance Staff professional in our Financial Services Office.

Responsibilities
Recognize potential audit issues or unusual relationships from basic analysis of the financial statements and communicate them to the team. Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives, client’s engagement history, and planned audit approach. Challenge procedures used in the past and attempt to enhance audit techniques.

Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client’s environment. Maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel. Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client’s business.

Demonstrate willingness and ability to participate in advisory-related engagements, as required.

Develop people through teamwork, integrity, and leadership. Collaborate with team members to set goals and responsibilities. Contribute ideas/opinions to the audit teams and listen/respond to other team members’ views.

Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

Bring potential opportunities to the team’s attention. Seek, develop, and present ideas to apply Ernst & Young’s knowledge and services.

Demonstrate willingness and ability to travel outside your work location to designated client engagements. It is therefore essential that all professional staff possess a valid driver’s license in the US and/or is in the process of obtaining one. Access to adequate transportation is needed in all locations.

To qualify, candidates must have:
* a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business
* a minimum of 1 year of experience working as an auditor for a public accounting firm with some experience serving financial services clients; will consider candidates with less than 1 year of experience with an advanced degree
* previous experience in the asset management industry which may include mutual fund complexes, hedge funds, private equity funds, or other investment vehicles preferred
* US CPA certification or must be actively preparing to pass the US CPA examination
* ability and willingness to participate in advisory-related engagements
* ability and willingness to travel with limited notice
* advanced written and verbal communication skills
* a strong dedication to teamwork
* integrity within a professional environment
