CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division. We are looking for a Feed Sales Intern.  You will work extensively with Cooperative Customers in insuring they are provided the highest level of service and information as possible. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

You will:
Assist in devolving feeding programs and making recommendations that precisely meet the producer’s practices, pastures and preferences.
Learn the features and benefits of all feed products and services, assist with over-the-counter sales, and assist with product delivery to customers.
Ensure water, forage, grains and feeds are tested regularly in order to provide the most accurate ration balancing and performance projections
Assist in meeting the needs and resolve problems of current customers
Establish and maintain effective public relations through customer education and the promotion of new products.
Work with producers in a courteous and professional manner
Daily travel throughout assigned sales territory
Generate written reports and present them to supervisor and/or customer
Understand and utilize Agris invoicing and inventory management systems.
Assist in inventory management procedures.
Work in and keep an environment that is compliant with state, local and CHS Environmental and Safety policy.
Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Animal Science, or other Agriculture related degree program
Proficient level with MS Office Suite
Valid driver’s license
Excellent driving record
Agriculture experience or background.
Previous internship.
Prior feed and/or dairy experience.
