Manager, Calf Growing Operation

A leading family owned organization is looking for a self-motivated Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and the staff for its calf growing operation in the Midwest.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate would possess 5+ years of calf growing experience with specific experience in starting day-old Holsteins preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish are required. Ability to communicate well with company leadership is a top priority. This position will be responsible for:

    Leading a team of supervisors and the production workforce
    Overseeing the daily activities of the operation, including the feed and care of the animals
    Ensuring that health and nutrition protocols are followed as prescribed
    Keeping the facility clean and properly maintained
    Following industry best practices for responsible and humane care of livestock
    Maintaining a safe working environment
    Adhering to protocols and procedures that management has in place
    Complying with applicable laws
