The Lillian Passmore Donovan Memorial Scholarship is aimed specifically at Indigenous Australians with an interest in pursuing a career in Social Work.
The Scholarship recognises the contributions of Lillian Passmore Donovan, as an Indigenous woman committed to the field of social work and social justice. Lillian worked for three decades across a range of agencies both government and non-government in rural and urban settings.

Her final position was with the Victim Support Unit in the Department of Justice. She also worked for the Western Australian Department for Community Development, the Aboriginal Accommodation Service and the Manguri Aboriginal Corporation. She worked in South Australia with the Department of Community Welfare as a Senior Aboriginal Community Development Worker and Senior Supervisor. Lillian won the Peter Jordan Award for Social Justice when graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Social Work in recognition of the quality of her practice and scholarship.

3.           Be undertaking the first semester of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University in 2014
4.           Be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported place
Enrolment requirements
Unless there are exceptional circumstances such as, but not limited, to medical or family reasons, students must meet ALL of the following:
1.           Remain enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work
2.           Maintain a full time study load of at least 75 credit points each semester at Curtin University
3.           Maintain a course weighted average (CWA) of at least 50 each semester
4.           Fail no more than one enrolled unit each semester
Scholarship continuity is subject to meeting satisfactory academic progress as outlined above. Progress will be assessed at the end of each study period.  Unless there are exceptional circumstances, a recipient with unsatisfactory progress or who breaches the scholarship conditions shall be ineligible to retain the scholarship. Exceptional circumstances must be forwarded to and shall be at the discretion of the Scholarships Office.
Changes to enrolment
If a recipient intends to do any of the following they must also apply in writing to the Scholarships Office (scholarships@curtin.edu.au) for approval BEFORE the change.
Change from full time enrolment: The Scholarships Office will advise how the change will affect your scholarship.
Change of course:  Change of course is NOT permitted.
Leave of absence:  If approved the maximum period of leave is 12 months.
Withdrawal or Terminated from units or course: A student who withdraws from their units or course of study, or has been terminated from studies will become ineligible for continuation of the scholarship, will not receive any further payments and will be required to repay to the University the stipend awarded for that study period if applicable.

He espouses great family values and has worked for the betterment of life in the community. In 2000, Chris Lewis received the John Curtin medal for his role as an Indigenous leader and his community work.
