Corporate encompasses the core operational support for all Land OLakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Market Strategy and Communications, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs.

Position Purpose:
Provide guidance in the control, preparation and distribution of accurate cost accounting information pertaining to products sales, costs, and inventory reconciliation for the feed plants and outside inventories.
Responsible to evaluate and correct general ledger activity to ensure accurate gross margin reporting for costing and sales order processing.
Reviews monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Prepares variance reports on balance sheet accounts and cost of product.
Assist plant and support staff on inquiries pertaining to product cost on sales orders, freight, credits/vendor returns, and technical data.
Provide analysis and reporting as needed for the feed plants and business partners.
Support audit requests, ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
Develops and revises procedures to ensure control and verification processes are complete and accurate. Provides technical assistance and training to staff.
Oversee the professional development, supervision, and coaching of the assigned staff.

Qualifications:
Experience-Education (Required):
Accounting degree or related 4-year business degree. 7 years experience or equivalency in accounting with an emphasis in cost accounting.

Competencies-Skills (Required):
Thorough understanding of financial drivers in inventory and cost of goods sold. Must be detail oriented with financial analysis and procedure documentation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong computer skills and experience with JDE, Hyperion, Excel, Word, and other data tools. Ability to work with internal and external customers, providing good interaction to focus on improving efficiencies and performance.

Experience-Education (Preferred): CPA certification. Previous leadership and/or supervisory experience.
