BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The Evisceration Dept. is looking for an organized, team oriented, self-starter to work in fast paced evisceration dept. Will require use of hand tools and equipment to eviscerate poultry. Work accurately at a fast pace. Must possess good attention to detail.
Individual will be actively involved in the Company Safety program and the long term and short term goals of the department. Ability to work as part of a team is essential.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
Work for a full shift from a standing position.
Handle and work with poultry entrails.
Use scissors, knives and other hand tools.
Ability to carry out repetitive motions of the arms, wrists and hands.
Follow production rules.
Work in other areas or tasks in the department.
Maintain clean and safe working environment.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Participate in Company and department safety program.
Comply with Company Policies and Procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/JOB TRAINING:
To perform this job successfully, applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Education and/or Experience:
High school education not required but beneficial.
Previous experience using knives a plus, but not required.

Language Skills:
Spanish/English bilingual a plus but not required.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to accurately carry out instructions given by supervisor is essential.

Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly stand, walk, and repetitively use arms, wrists and hands. Must be able to handle and use knives, scissors and other cutting instruments. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 80 lbs. on a regular basis.

Special information:
This position is under the collective bargaining unit of the UFCW. Required 90-day probation period. Excellent medical benefits available. Must be at least 18 years of age.


Work Environment:
Work area is predominantly wet and tends to be cold. Moderate to extreme levels of noise, safety protection is provided.
