Job Description:
The client I represent is a National Company with a Global footprint and is currently looking for a SQL Server Senior Database Administrator.​ This is a growing company with room to grow!

Responsibilities:
    The DBA will provide support for the SQL database environments.​
    Must be able to maintain and configure the databases
    Must be able to collaborate and work with other team members in order to guarantee a project meets the indicated requirements and are completed on schedule.​
    Must have a demonstrable ability to plan and manage software deployments and upgrades in real-time while working in a time-critical operational environments
    Must be able to troubleshoot and give solutions for any problems that may arise with maintaining the DB and servers.​
    Must be able to clearly convey any issues and accurately track problems with the goal being to provide res8olution quickly.​ Candidate will be a part of the on-call support rotation schedule already in place.​
    The DBA will be able to Install, execute, and maintain database software including MS SQL Server 2005, 2008, and 2012t; be able to monitor database processes, backups, and activity to ensure availability, accessibility, recoverability, and optimal performance;
    Manage database security including profiles, roles, and role-assignments;
    The DBA must be able to work collaboratively with teams of a cross functional nature in order to complete complex database projects;
    Must have a demonstrable ability to plan and manage software deployments and upgrades in real-time while working in a time-critical operational environments

Requirements:
    Candidate must have a completed Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
    The DBA will have seven years of database administration experience supporting SQL Server 2005, 2008, and 2012, experience installing, configuring and supporting Oracle 9i, 10, and 11g is a plus
    Experience with SQL Server clustering as well installing and maintaining SQL Server software and patches.​
    Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery options with SQL Reporting and SSIS packages.​
    Experience with performance tuning and optimization at the database, system, and application level.​
