The purpose of the Maintenance Manager is to serve as an engineering liaison between management, processing, and maintenance with responsibility for the upkeep of all equipment. The Maintenance department consists of General Maintenance, Refrigeration,
Wastewater Treatment, Maintenance Purchasing, Electrical and Electronics.
Describe below the major responsibilities of this position which must be fulfilled with or without reasonable accommodations in order toachieve the essential purpose of this position

1. Develop new layout designs for use in installing new equipment/processes, as well as, changes to existing. Update current plant layout drawings with latest changes.

2. Manage various capital projects to include establishing capital budgets, generating quotations from contractors and equipment suppliers to be utilized or purchased through capital projects. Accurately maintain records of all transactions and contracts
made within the capital project. Manage capital projects timely and accurately with start-ups and completions completed within the guidelines of the capital project.

3. Be actively and supportively involved in the QIP in Monterey with involvement in corrective action teams, corrective actions teams and other communities.

4. Perform labor and production efficiency studies throughout the plant as requested from the Plant Manager.

5. Update the Plant Manager in a timely fashion on the status of all the engineering projects related to his area of responsibility. Also, update the Plant Manager on projects as they relate to their area.

6. Support the production and maintenance departments in Monterey to optimize their efficiency and resources.

7. Employ generally accepted guidelines to safeguard assets of the facility by maintaining adherence to established controls and procedures and develop additional controls and procedures where necessary.

8. Serve on Safety Steering Team Committee.

9. Ensure that daily maintenance tasks are performed, by utilizing Maintenance planners to schedule all shifts with Preventative and corrective Work-orders.

10. Develop, maintain and update as necessary a preventive maintenance program using the technology provided by the CMMS system in order to increase the reliability of the equipment and minimize production line downtime related to equipment failure.

11. Identify chronic Maintenance problem areas and recommend courses of action necessary to repair, modify or replace equipment by utilizing machine downtime and machine history data as available from the CMMS system in order to increase machine efficiencies
and reduce costs.

12. Ensure that the activities of the Maintenance Department adhere to USDA regulations and plant quality control standards by keeping the Maintenance Supervisors and mechanics informed of the proper procedures and monitoring their compliance in order to
maximize Perdue Farms Inc. ability to provide high quality products.

13. Ensure that personnel actions including, but not limited to, ABC reviews, vacation and disciplinary actions that deal with directly and indirectly supervised employees are handled in a timely and accurate manner by working closely with the Personnel
Department, the Plant Manager and the employees in order to keep the employees well informed and highly motivated.

The minimum Formal Education required to be considered for this position is: BS Degree

Specialized or technical knowledge, credentials or licensing preferred for the position include: Layout, Drafting, Project Management, Ergonomic Design, Industrial Engineering, CAD Operation, USDA Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of electrical and electronic design and application
The minimum number of Years and/or Months of Prior and Related experience preferred to be considered for this position is: 5+ years
BS Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering preferred.

Management experience in industrial maintenance within poultry/meat mfg, experience in further processing, or food industry preferred.
