3rd Shift Gate 7 (Truck Gate)

Work hours: 11:55 p.m. – 8:25 a.m. **5 day work week to include weekends

Hourly Rate: $8.75 + $.20 shift differential

The primary purpose of this position is to enforce all security regulations set by Perdue and to protect the property assigned against trespassing, fire, theft, storms, and vandalism; to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to concerning emergencies;
and to ensure various security checks are completed.

The job summary listed below may not be a complete list of all the essential functions of the job.
Visually check temperature setting, temperature reading, fuel gauge, trailer number and seal number of each trailer.
Open and close trailer doors and check all empty trailers.
Keep neat and accurate paperwork logging all information from each round.
Make a yard patrol a minimum of once every two to four hours throughout yard (to include all pads and all dock doors)
Check box room and ice house between yard rounds and cooler charts on weekends; holidays or any other day plant is not working.
Report any and all discrepancies to proper individuals (i.e. garage, security shift leader, refrigeration)
Assist gate personnel in their guard duties.
Complete a jack-training program and obtain license.
To load and off load trailers.
Check all IDs at gate and log all contractors and visitors in logbook.
Reading, writing, math and analytical skills required.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
Prior Security experience.
