SUMMARY:
The responsibilities of this position will vary from performing one procedure or work instruction to a number of analytical, microbiological or quality system procedures or work instructions in a Food Safety Laboratory. Precision and accuracy in performance of the work instructions and data collection is essential; must be able to maintain ISO records for process control and comply with quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be passing and competency will be verified at least annually thereafter. Team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency and growth after training; other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer college level courses or degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science and/or Physical Sciences.

Experience: Prefer laboratory experience.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills.

Special Skills: Work activities are well defined with clearly stated directions or guidelines. Most work steps are clearly prescribed and cannot be modified. Most work duties require repetitive operations. Must be detailed oriented.
