Administrative Clerk - ARTCO - St. Louis, MO

This is a full-time, non-exempt level position.

Working under the supervision of the Office Manager, the full-time Administrative Clerk's duties include a wide variety of standard and non-standard administrative duties.  Such duties include, but are not limited to:
1.   Performing a full and varied array of clerical duties including data entry, copying, faxing, mailing, filing and answering a multi-line phone.
2.   Proficiency with Microsoft Office Computer Programs including excel, word and access.
3.   Organizing and maintaining the various personnel, medical and training files for terminal and marine harbor staff as well as boat accident claims.
4.   Processing and accruing recurring Accounts Payable invoices for payment (utilities, credit cards and uniforms) as well as functioning as the back-up for the Accounts Payable Clerk.
5.   Daily data entry on proprietary ADM software for Accounts Payable processing, Safety observations and other topics as assigned.
6.   Processing daily mail receipts by: sorting, opening, stamping and distributing for approval.
7.   Reception of location visitors.
8.   Processing outgoing mail to insure proper weight, postage and appropriate documentation for all outgoing USPS items.
9.   Coordinating the documentation for vendor Certificates of Insurances in compliance with Corporate policies and location tracking.
10.  Completing monthly Excel spreadsheets for various operating department's expenses and safety meetings.
11.  Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this job include but are not limited to:

1. Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access).
    2. Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
    3. Ability to communicate effectively, including one on one and in front of a group.
    4. Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, a multi-line     telephone system, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
    5. Effective time management and multi-tasking skills.
    6. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
    7. Self-motivation.

Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
