Summary:
The purpose of this position is to help maximize Company profitability by assisting the Crop Specialists with day-to-day sales operations as described below.

Job Functions:
    Under the direction of the Crop Specialist and Plant Manager, ensure customer needs are met by coordinating delivery of seed, crop protection, and plant food products.
    Interact with customers to assess needs in Precision Farming support, crop scouting, and product placement; and follow up with the Crop Specialist regarding these needs.
    Must become familiar with billing and administrative procedures; including effective utilization of computer marketing information systems and Summit/Stratus and AgVance accounting software.
    Responsible for effective execution of credit administration program directed by the Credit Manager and adherence to the published credit policy of the Company.
    Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge base of all products marketed through the facilities necessary to helping patrons achieve the goal of improving their profitability.
    Must become familiar with technological advances in the crops area and successfully market the service component of the Company's product offering to patrons.
    Responsible for adherence to all company and government safety and regulatory policies.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    Normally requires a 4-year degree in agronomy, or Associates degree in agronomy with at least 2 years experience in an agriculture retail setting.
    Understanding of all agronomic product lines along with sales ability/persuasiveness, face-to-face selling skills, assertiveness, tenacity/persistence, resilience, and competitive adeptness.
    Proven professional communications and customer service skills
    Ability to use the computer to enhance business processes
    Must have or the ability to obtain CCA / CCS certification
    Must have or be able to obtain a CDL with Hazmat endorsement
