Financial Controller

To ensure the accuracy of reported financial information, administer budget procedures, and implement sound accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

    Provide accurate and timely financial and budget reports for management, board and regulatory authorities.
    Maintain corporate records for parent and subsidiary organizations including the Bank Holding Company and the affiliated Insurance Company (Kleberg Insurance Group)
    Manage and monitor interest rate risk and capital adequacy by using sound asset and liability management practices. Actively participate in loan and deposit pricing strategy. Take a lead role in managing the Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO).
    Manage bank insurance programs.
    Provide accurate and timely reporting for all bank departments; manage usage of Business Intelligence software.
    Miscellaneous report preparation and other special projects as assigned by the CFO, CEO or Leadership Council.
    Quarterly and Annual regulatory reporting for Bank and Holding Company.
    The Finance/Account Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Finance/Accounting department.

Qualifications:
    Required: Business Degree from a 4-year school (preferably Accounting or Finance); or 6 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Preferred: Five years bank experience and the ability to apply basic fundamentals of bank accounting. Management experience is a plus, but not required.
