QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST HAVE CURRENT DAIRY EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION

-Strong herd health skills
-Experience supervising employees
-Ability to AI a Must
-Registration experience a plus
-Some feeding knowledge
-Basic computer skills, dairy uses DC 305 but would consider someone with other dairy software experience
-Able to speak Dairy Spanish
-Dependable
-Proven experience working as a Team Player, working well with others

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a New York dairy in search of a Herdsman for its 450 milking cow operation. Will be responsible for supervising 3 employees, diagnosing and treating sick cows, checking on fresh cows, breeding, ov sync, heat detection, IV's, vaccinations, and calving. Limited responsibilities with hoof trimming, data entry, and feeding. This position has the possibility of growing into more responsibilities, so prefer someone capable of doing most tasks on a dairy. May also be responsible for milking in emergencies.
