Corporate encompasses the core operational support for all Land OLakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Market Strategy and Communications, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs.

Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for the overall technology roadmap and solutions for our Winfield divisions Data to Insights and Precision Agriculture efforts and products. The individual should be technically broad and have a good understanding and interest in external technology movements and markets across numerous industries. Successful candidate must be expert in all areas related to these products which includes customers, markets, technology, competition, channels, press, analysts, trends and anything else that must be taken into account in order to create and lead a technology based marketplace. This individual will be responsible for taking visionary business ideas and drafting technical IT solutions to meet the needs of the business. They will need to determine what pieces of software and technologies are required and how they would likely fit together to create a viable and maintainable solution, all while optimizing across cost and business objectives.
Technologies utilized will cut across integration, cloud, application, precision agriculture and mobile technologies and the individual should be a quick learner. This person will be part of a senior leadership team that is focused on developing business cases and business models from some of Winfield unique data and innovative technology and will be ultimately responsible for the success of these technology products from design to market deployment. This is a great opportunity for senior product development managers from software firms that are looking for a new opportunity to design something that has never been done before, or for senior application architects who would like to be more involved in the innovative aspects of Information Technology.

Qualifications:
Experience-Education (Required):
B.S. in CS or Engineering and 10 years of experience in architecture and/or technology fields of work or leadership is required. Must have 2 years (of the 10) experience in systems or solution architecture. Must be able to draft software application and tool solutions to complex business requirements.

Experience-Education (Preferred):
An MBA is Strongly Preferred.

Competencies-Skills (Required):
Must be able to turn visionary ideas into reality, or provide perspective on what is and is not achievable. Must have a grasp on technology capabilities and movements in the general tech market. Must be able to stay on top of emerging technologies. Must be extremely influential and be able to balance technical and business/cost decisions for optimum outcome.

Percentage of Travel:25%
