Objectives for this position:
- Expand the number of major accounts (poultry growers) who purchase product
- Develop new products
- Further develop the distributor network
- Expand the number of swine growers who purchase product
- Improve service to current group of local growers
- Create succession plan for sales team
- Mentor young managers throughout the organization
- Work with management team to drive costs out of procurement
- Be active member of senior management
Necessary Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience selling into the poultry sector
- Understanding of product development and positioning
- Strong strategic skills coupled with a 'hands-on' approach
- Team player with strong mentoring skills
- Comfortable in the boardroom, whether working with internal board or external customers
- Passion for selling
- Track record of success
- Rolodex full of contacts in the poultry industry
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing a distributor network
- Experience managing the procurement process
- Experience driving costs out of the supply chain
