The Input Traits Discovery R&D department is seeking a Biochemist to join a team focused on the discovery of novel insect resistance traits.  The successful candidate will have a strong background in protein biochemistry including experience with purification, biophysical characterization, and protein-protein (macromolecular) interactions.  The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of scientists at the earliest stages of our discovery pipeline to identify and characterize novel proteins.

 Primary Responsibilities:

    Use biochemical expertise for hypothesis generation in a collaborative environment with other technical experts

    Design and execute experiments
    Effectively complete and communicate data analysis results to department and cross-functional colleagues
    Contribute to the intellectual property of the company
    Provide training and mentorship to junior scientists
