Dairy Feed Specialist - Nutritionist - Great Lakes Region
Do you have a passion for the Dairy industry and really understand "on-farm" dairy management, including nutrition, health, cow comfort, udder health, forage production, etc. and like sales? Do you have a minimum of MS Dairy Science degree and at least a couple years of successful sales experience or are you someone with a BS degree who has been in the industry with proven performance in dairy sales for several years, but is looking for a change? Our client is looking for a high level Dairy Tech Service - Sales Professional to be responsible for direct large producer sales activities and local sales support in an assigned territory in the Great Lakes Region. This position will cover a 2-3 state Dairy pocket of production with strong dealer and sales presence. This professional company representative will work with dairy producers throughout the region to advise them on nutritional strategies and position & sell the products we carry to maximize their herd's performance or efficiency. Qualified candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven sales experience with strong Dairy company
- BS (MS preferred) in Dairy Sci. with Strong dairy background and history
- Confident enough to go toe to toe with consulting nutritionists
- Proven ability to build relationships, sell "value" and achieve sales/margin quotas
- Complete knowledge of formulation programs
- Feed/nutrition/commodities experience within the dairy industry
