Overview:

    Responsible for delivering human resources and safety products / services to approximately 100 non-union salaried, clerical and hourly associates.
    Services include: employment, labor relations, wage and salary administration, fringe benefit administration, placement, safety, worker’s compensation, insurance and health benefits and employee services.

Duties will include:
  •     Assures that company employment, safety, labor relations, personnel, and equal opportunity policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state labor laws
  •     Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
  •     Maintain safety files and records, logs and oversees the administration of workers’ compensation program.
  •     Directs employment activities, assessing needs and communicate those needs to the Recruiting Department
  •     Coordinates and participates with investigations regarding performance and safety, and items requiring disciplinary action or termination in conjunction with supervisors.
  •     Ensures that employees are properly informed and knowledgeable in HR and safety policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role:
  •     Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources or related curriculum, (3) three or more year’s experience in human resources and/or safety generalist role
  •     Experience in the food industry or swine/ beef/poultry live production
  •     Must be bi-lingual:  Spanish
  •     Will have experience working in a union environment
  •     SPHR or PHR certificates preferred.
  •     Supervisory experience with employees in the Human Resources Department.
  •     Experience with the training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  •     Experience implementing safety programs and/or monitoring existing programs and maintain compliance



Salary: $38,000.00 - $42,000.00
