CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Processing and Food Ingredients Division.
We are looking for a Plant Manager to oversee all plant operations. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication
skills, both verbal and written and have the ability to multi-task and problem solve.

You will:
Manage the entire operation according to divisional objectives while maintaining the efficiency necessary to achieve a high quality product and maximize profit.
Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and report these results to management.
Establish, monitor and manage all production schedules and activities of the operation to fill all customer orders in a timely and efficient manner. Modify production schedules to address last minute urgent orders.
Develop and maintain Environmental, Health & Safety programs (EH&S) and policies as directed by CHS. Collaborate with EH&S Coordinator on a daily basis.
Work closely with the maintenance department on developing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program.  Oversee all major projects.
Supervise and support training of all plant personnel with emphasis on improving productivity, food safety, and developing a safe working environment.
Work with quality control to address product quality issues immediately.
Initiate budget consistent with plant needs and corporate goals. Monitor daily operations and expenses to fall within budgetary guidelines.
 
Talent Management:
Manage the staff through responsible training, clear job assignment definition and explanation, correct deficient performance, and effectively reward and develop all employees.
Provide work direction to the department supervisors and staff.
Oversee, monitor, and enforce all company policies and procedures.

Bachelor degree in Food Science, Engineering, Milling Science, Chemistry or Nutrition
10 plus years’ experience in Plant Management Operations in Feed, Food or Food Ingredients
5 years supervisory experience
Experience managing budgets and P/L

Knowledge of state and federal regulations: OSHA, EPA, EEO/AA
Experience with continuous industrial operations and processes
Experience with development and implementation of a self-directed team culture
