Job Description:
The Senior Compensation Specialist acts as primary day-to day US Compensation interface for clients and employees in assigned areas. He/she effectively builds and manages vendor and competitor relationships.
The Senior Compensation Specialist identifies opportunities to sponsor and develop key salary surveys and seeks out new market data and market trend sources.
This role provides and implements workable solutions to business issues/problems with minimum referral to management.
He/she conducts work planning, estimation and prioritization to optimize performance of team.
This role assists manager in budget development and directs work within budgetary guidelines.
This individual manages effective internal/external client relationships within own area of responsibility, and builds client relationships in the wider group or unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research vendors and gathers information to present proposals for custom surveys; oversees and coordinates all custom survey efforts.
  • Develop timeline for market data collection, analysis and target development.
  • Consult on, research and resolve client issues pertaining to employee compensation.
  • Provide clients with compensation communications as requested and participate in the development of compensation program.
  • Conduct ad hoc salary analysis, such as pay for performance for assigned client areas.
  • Participate in and/or leads special projects, as required.
  • Build, maintain, and run compensation/ strategy models, lead reviews and recommend changes
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of MS Excel and/or MS Access experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of extensive client-facing exposure
  • Minimum of 1 year of Project Management experience - full project lifecycle preferred
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
CCP Preferred
Compensation background/experience
HR background/experience
Experience with HR Systems, particularly SAP

  • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Strong executive presence
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
