Overview:

To assure that all products produced consistently meet or exceed company standards and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.  Facilitate the packaging of quality product in an efficient and timely manner. 
Provide quality support to the packaging, warehouse and outside bulk operations by interpreting analytical results, inspecting and releasing raw materials, releasing product for packaging, providing analytical reports to departments as needed, and other activities promoting quality processes. 
Promote safety though demonstrated leadership on the production floor and provide production support including sampling, troubleshooting, and line support.


Essential Functions:

  •     Promote safety by driving a zero incident culture ensuring the safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors
  •     Be an effective safety leader engaging in Bunge Oils safety discussions and initiatives
  •     Support policy and procedure creation and training
  •     Perform product testing for incoming, produced and blended materials according to product data sheets which define testing parameters for each product.  Document results of testing and make recommendations to facility regarding results
  •     Calibrate and maintain testing equipment according to manufacturers and Bunge R&D specifications.  Ensure testing standards are within equipment expected variations
  •     Confirm that all sanitation procedures are in compliance
  •     Review information from suppliers to assure proper product conformance, requirements and regulations
  •     Support the management of food security issues
  •     Support the development and maintenance of prerequisite and Hazard Analysis &
  •     Critical Control Points (HACCP) Programs for food and feed products
  •     Ensure that customer inquiries for technical information, application information or product concerns receive responses in a timely fashion
  •     Assist with corporate supplier/vendor management program as needed
  •     Support maintaining sanitation levels in the packaging department facilities
  •     Be prepared to work a flexible, 8, 10, or 12 hour schedule that will include off shifts and weekends
  •     Perform other duties as assigned and recognize that priorities can and will likely shift quickly to adjust to the demands of other departments for the overall benefit of the organization
  •     Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or any applied sciences preferred
  •     One to three years analytical laboratory experience preferred
  •     Punctuality and accuracy are critical
  •     Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly is required
  •     Demonstrate ability to work safely and to promote safe work practices in others
  •     Ability to work collaboratively on teams with both internal and external employees and customers
  •     Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and PP), SAP and other technical software applications
  •     Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
