Overview:
The Mobile (m) Health Senior Associate reports to the Director of IT and is primarily responsible for working with the Ipas mHealth working group to develop an mHealth strategy and for advising and coordinating mHealth efforts across the organization.
In addition, s/he will assist global technical units and country teams to both incorporate mHealth into new and existing projects as well as provide technical assistance to all projects with mHealth components.
This position also requires a small percentage of time dedicated to general fundraising to support mHealth work at Ipas.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate mHealth efforts across the organization
• Assist global technical units and country teams to incorporate mHealth into new and existing projects as a means to:
• Expand access to abortion services, information and support in and outside of the health facility; Deliver provider support, clinical mentoring and follow-up;
• Monitor and evaluate activities and collect data for research;
• Advocate and mobilize communities
• Provide technical assistance to projects using mHealth technologies by: Sourcing local partners (consultants, programmers);
• Working with phone companies in country;
• Working directly with programmers ;
• Adapting content for applications or SMS
• Develop Ipas’s mHealth strategy with the assistance of the mHealth working group.
• Monitor and report on Ipas’s mHealth initiative to Ipas staff and donors.
• Fundraise to support mHealth work at Ipas.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree required; advanced degree in public health or technology preferred
8 years of professional experience
2+ years working with mobile technology/application design, preferably in developing countries
Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing mobile technology related projects in health care settings preferred
Experience working in a non-profit organization
Ability to travel up to 20%
