The Millennium Water Alliance is a 501(c)(3) coalition of America’s leading charities working to bring clean, safe drinking water and sanitation to millions of the world’s poorest people in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Founded in 2002, MWA seeks to advance high standards for program quality, transparency, and accountability, and work with its members to bring to scale effective and sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene education solutions. www.mwawater.org

The Millennium Water Alliance is looking for an intern for the fall of 2013, with the potential to continue into the spring.
The internship will be 10 to 20 hours per week, and will focus on the day-to-day management of MWA’s grants in Africa and Latin America.
The intern will assist the WASH Program Director and Program officer in various responsibilities involved in ongoing WASH programs and their requirements to donors.
This includes: program reporting, both quantitative (output spreadsheets) and qualitative (narratives reports); Monitoring and Evaluation (data validation and analysis); and learning/communications (case studies, narrative articles, etc.).
We are looking for someone with experience or interest in WASH and international development, as well as strong research, writing, and quantitative analysis skills.
As MWA is a relatively small organization, the work is varied and stimulating, and the intern should be ready to “wear many hats”, taking on different roles depending on what is needed. This would be a great opportunity to dive into program coordination, WASH, and M&E.

How to apply:

Please send cover letter and CV or resume by September 13th to WASHProgramIntern@gmail.com

Do not call in reference to this position. All applicants will be notified of the status of their applications by email. Short-listed candidates will be contact directly no later than September 20th, 2013. Thank you in advance for your interest.
