Business Unit: Corporate encompasses the core operational support for all Land OLakes businesses. It includes Business Development Services, Corporate Market Strategy and Communications, Finance, Law, Human Resources, Information Technology and Public Affairs.

Position Purpose:

This role serves as primary Business IT leader (Business CIO), managing the relationship between the centralized Information Technology (IT) organization and our business executives. This position concentrates on the creation of value from information technology (IT) and application of IT, to emerging business opportunities to maximize value and return to our company. Learns how competitors, best-in-class companies, and related industries use technology for competitive advantage. Senses and shapes demand and channels demand into service delivery. Provides guidance to decision makers and clarifies principles for the use of IT.

Understands, supports, and contributes to the business vision and strategic imperatives. Brings IT requirements and constraints into the business planning process to ensure alignment. Guides business leaders in the formulation of practical IT strategies and tactics. Watches for material changes in business objectives and makes necessary adjustments in IT plans. Has a leadership role in innovating and leading change. Anticipates how business changes translate into the need for technology. Suggests and advocates changes in business processes and policies.

Ensures overall satisfaction with IT. Serves as an advocate for the business regarding project management, resource management, and IT services. Challenges both the business and IT to facilitate optimal solutions and pricing. Helps the business understand what levels of service are feasible for what theyre willing to spend. Using knowledge of IT products, services, and fulfillment processes, helps identify, define, and shape the service portfolio and develop service levels. Helps IT delivery managers and product managers formulate new services.

Drives the budget and IT project portfolio planning, business case preparation and execution for their designated business area. Is part of the overall IT governance processes and assisting in the development and evolution of the overall enterprise IT approach and select sourcing decisions.

Qualifications:

Experience-Education (Required):

Bachelors Degree and 10 years in IT organization and leadership experience is required, as well as project management leadership and a history of delivering results. Successful candidate must have broad knowledge of information systems technology with in-depth knowledge of IT service delivery and experience with business process design and optimization

Competencies-Skills (Required):
Financial acumen and cost managment, executive influence and leadership experience are required. Candidate must have excellent comunication skills.

Experience-Education (Preferred):
MBA is strongly preferred
