Job Description
This Specialist position will assist the Manager with responsibilities for supervising the Payroll Tax Compliance Team.
This position will need someone with a broad understanding of payroll processing and payroll tax compliance in order to lead the junior members of the team and should take initiative in order to develop deliverable solutions related to account reconciliations, training materials, etc.
This person should have a good understanding of merger and acquisition activities; federal, state and local withholding and unemployment tax audits.
This person should possess strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interact with the taxing authorities and third party vendors and be able to manage projects related to these activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years payroll tax compliance experience.
• Minimum of 5 years merger and acquisition experience.
• Minimum of 5 years payroll tax accounting experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in payroll processing procedures/systems
• Project management
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Experience with ADP Stand Alone Tax Service, not the Payroll Processing services
• Experience working with other third party vendors, ie. payroll vendors, tax consultants.
• Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian.
• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian.

• Proven ability to work independently as a team member.
• Good communication (written or oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
