Position Summary:

The Process Lab Technician will provide both R&D and process support for projects associated with various operating facilities within the Agribusiness division of the JR Simplot Company. The selected candidate must be willing to travel and perform work as needed at the operating sites.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support which includes process and equipment efficiency evaluations, laboratory and pilot experiments, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data evaluation, and report generation

• Collects, processes, and communicate relevant information to support research, engineering, production, maintenance or environmental projects

• Works independently and in team settings to achieve customer requirements

• Executes special lab analysis and R&D work

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferred and 3+ years of technical experience

• Demonstrated track record of safety awareness and practice

• Requires effective interpersonal communication and teamwork skills

• Working knowledge of how to operate all laboratory equipment

• Must have strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, JD Edwards experience preferred

• Proven ability to perform analytical tasks with accuracy and precision

• Must possess valid Idaho driver’s license or have the ability to get one

Salary: PG 38, 39, 40 non-exempt
