Ag Services Operations Trainee - Various US Locations
This is an exempt level position.

About the Position
Ag Services operations management trainees will participate in an 18-month program in which they will be trained in general safety, grain grading and quality evaluations, people management, profit and loss management and managing capital expenditures.
During the training period, the trainee will be located at one of the company's grain elevators and should be prepared to relocate as needed.

Additional training may include the following:
Loading and unloading grain trucks and railcars;
Sampling and grading grain;
Loading barges;
Overseeing hourly employees and assigning work;
Transferring, drying, storage, aeration and blending grain;
Repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance;
Preventative maintenance;
Implementation of safety programs and procedures;
Regulatory issues (OSHA, EPA, DNR, etc.);
DOT policies and procedures;
Basic accounting (understanding a balance sheet); and
Electrical conservation and management.

At the end of the training period, the trainee may transition to serve as a supervisor, superintendent or location manager.
 Trainees should be prepared to relocate two to three times within the first five to seven years with ADM.
Elevator operations may seasonally require longer working hours, shift work and weekend work. Some locations may have full-time shift work and/or weekend schedules

Requirements
Candidates must have at least a two-year degree in agriculture-related studies and/or experience with the loading and unloading of grain for multiple modes of transportation in addition to transferring, drying, storage, aeration and blending of grain.
Candidates must possess basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge of electrical systems is a plus.
It is necessary that candidates have the ability to see the full color spectrum, have the ability to work near or on large bodies of water, work from heights and drive from one elevator to another as needed.
