Part-Time Boiler Operator / Lab Technician

Melrose Dairy Proteins, LLC, a joint venture between Land OLakes, Inc. and Dairy Farmers of America, is looking for a qualified part-time Boiler Operator/Lab Technician to fill an opening at our world class 24 hr./7 day a week dairy manufacturing facility at 1000 Kraft Drive SE, Melrose, MN.
Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be licensed by the state of Minnesota to operate high pressure boilers. (1B license required) Must be a team player, flexible, reliable, have interpersonal skills, mechanical aptitude, good communication skills and be able to work independently. Experience in a food lab setting ideal, but not required. Previous experience in the food industry is a plus.

This position will work approximately 4-5 days per month providing vacation coverage for our current full time boiler operator team, including weekends, holidays, night shift and/or day shift. In addition, additional vacation coverage for our laboratory team will require approximately 25 days per year. This position will require some flexibility with scheduling and be expected to work as needed without advance notice at times.
