Safety Resource Alliance, a division on CHS and Ag States Group, has an exciting opportunity for a Safety & Compliance Specialist to act as the Safety Director responsible for the overall management of safety and compliance for contracted client operations. This includes ensuring the operation is in compliance with all federal, state, and organizational laws, rules and regulations. Determining the compliance programs appropriate for the client business and preparing the government agency required program documents. This person would be working with agribusinesses in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

You Will:
Safety & Compliance Training
- Train and educate employees in job safety awareness, health hazards and teach them methods of reducing and/or eliminating those hazards. Coordinate new employee orientations and existing employees' on-going training. Oversee function specific training needed for tasks in the operation.Compliance Monitoring
- Conduct periodic location inspections regarding housekeeping, equipment and machinery condition, environmental concerns, DOT records and all other safety related issues.Compliance Documentation
- Maintain system to produce safety records and documentation required by the company, state and federal regulations. Conduct reviews to ensure systems are being used and effective.
Communicate Requirements
- Communicate with management, safety staff and employees to keep all locations up to date and current regarding changes in safety regulations and programs.Coordinate Safety Committees
- Schedule and organize meetings to keep committee members focused on the issues assigned to them.
Document progress and communications as needed.
Lead efforts to continually improve the processes
- Implement procedures that improve safety, environment and compliance management at assigned business units.
Assist Management on facility improvement projects
- Research requirements, suggest options, obtain proposals, and evaluate safety and compliance issues on final project.
Facilitate relationships with local regulatory personal and agencies. Meet with enforcement personal when they inspect facilities.
Provide compliance information and respond to any concerns.
Corrective Actions
- Lead efforts to correct any environment, safety and health problems identified by insurance representation or internal reviews. Refer issues regarding capital expenditures, employee discipline, operational changes, etc. to management.


High School Diploma or GED, college degree and agribusiness work experience preferred.
Ability to obtain a 30-Hour OSHA Training, WPS Train the Trainer and 24-Hr HAZWOPER certification.
Hold a valid driver's license for the state in which they reside.
The ability to communicate sensitive matters with client management and maintain confidentiality from others.
Ability to speak in front of groups. Ability to climb ladders and operate equipment needed to inspect facilities.
Must not be claustrophobic or unduly afraid of heights.
Ability to travel extensively and work effectively from a home office.
Basic working knowledge of MS Excel (spreadsheet), Word (word processing), PowerPoint (presentation) and MS Outlook (email-communication) software.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Safety, Environmental, and/or Agri-Business experience preferred.
