The Agronomy Research Internship will assist with technology advancement field trials and large on farm studies conducted in the Western Corn Belt.
The candidate will aide in organizing and summarizing data from these trials and other research plots. This intern will also assist in establishing, maintaining, and becoming knowledgeable of agronomy training locations and activities in the assigned area.
This position will compliment your formal education by gaining exposure to agronomy and sales roles within the seed industry.
This individual will work independently, and will have interaction with the area agronomist, account manager, and research agronomist.
The Agronomy Research Intern will contribute to bringing innovative products to our customers.

Responsibilities:
* Build interpersonal and communication skills while working closely with sales, research and customers
* Enhance and develop your skills through practical and meaningful experience while collecting data and information related to field trials
* Gain experience in independently managing your time and priorities, and make decisions to meet your goals
* Collect and record data from field strip trials and large farm studies.
Observe and document field management practices
* Attend and assist with educational meetings
* Assist with other ongoing agronomy training activities
* Safe operation of Pioneer vehicle while traveling extensively

Skills:
* Enrollment in Agriculture, Biology, Biochemistry or related degree program
* Agronomy major preferred
* Experience with Precision Agriculture Hardware & Software
* Completion of at least 2nd year of study desired
* Must be able to work independently
* Skilled in computer use (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
* Valid driver's license and good driving record
* Superior work ethic and highly motivated
* Leadership and interpersonal skills/experience desired
