Job Description

The System Analyst provides in-depth knowledge and experience of the field locations’ business processes and system needs. This position provides support and expertise to our Tier 1 Help Desk, along with supporting and reviewing training documentation and testing scripts. This role acts as liaison between Business Analysts, Quality Assurance and the Development

Position Description and Duties

    Understand corporate and field systems and back office functions to provide ideas, expertise and recommendations for IT & business solutions.
    Collaborate with the Business Analysis team to comprehend documented requirements, to enable presentation to development teams and QA for evaluation and potential modifications.
    Provide expertise to Tier 1 Help Desk to support in-house developed software and PeopleSoft back office modules, and other corporate applications.
    Collaborate with Field operations, Business & Finance teams on comprehension, creation and maintenance of policies and procedures, and associated communications and training across the field systems’ end users to maintain system effectiveness to meet those standards.
    Coordinate Business Applications that interface to PeopleSoft for testing, Quality assurance monitoring, feedback and support in collaboration with Business Analysis team.
    Collaborate on Field communications in conjunction with Business Analysis team for enterprise field notification.
    Engage and collaborate with Division Support Analyst, Division Admins, and branch offices to understand and provide informed expertise to key enterprise software initiatives and represent the field requirements where needed.
    Responsible for assisting in training documentation and QA testing, across the enterprise in collaboration with QA, development, and IT Shared Services, as needed, including changes and/or M&A activity.
    Responsible for working with SA teams in UPK system and P2P processes for input and technical support.
    Collaborate with Business Analysis team to manage product backlog and assist in the priority schedule for the backlog.
    Participate in product sprints to work closely with development and Quality Assurance, to ensure effective delivery of requirements.
    Responsible for accepting Product Backlog items as completed, and ready for migration to next steps to production. staff, by understanding affected enterprise systems and the implementation of software solutions.
    Recognizing and understanding requirements, this role will work as liaison to the development teams, effectively collaborating with Quality Assurance and the Business to deliver optimum software and systems.

Required Skills

    BS in Business Admin or Information Technology, or equivalent.
    Minimum of 3 -5 years expert in company provided software solutions.
    Experience with high volume decentralized systems a plus.
    Excellent ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both verbal and written communications.
    Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Office products, including Word, Excel, PPT, Visio.
    Experience in scheduling training for field users.
    Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business partners and manage change effectively, as a part of a high performance team.
    Ability to translate business requirements into informed expertise to in house and contractor development groups and QA teams.
    Knowledge and experience of tools such as Remedy, TFS, or such Project Management tools, to enable documentation gathering supporting development needs and progress.
    Solid understanding of key business applications including Point of Sales, inventory, finance and accounting, legal and regulatory requirements.
