Maintenance Electrician - Waggaman, LA
American River Transportation Company (ARTCO)
This is a full-time, hourly level position.

Job Description:
Key responsibilities are to troubleshoot, service, repair, install, and remove electrical equipment; including but not limited to, solenoids, motor starters, facility lighting, control system instrumentation, position/motion/plug sensor devices, limit switches, power supplies, conduit installation, wiring connections, and motors.
Start-up and troubleshooting of control systems and projects.
On the job training will be provided.
The position requires the use of hand tools, electric and pneumatic tools, and other tools as needed.

Requirements:
Ideal candidate should have some familiarity with motor starters, motor control devices, controls, and medium/high voltage. 2+ years of related experience required.
Position may require the completion of company-designated electrical aptitude, interest, and skills evaluation test.
Candidate must be willing and able to work overtime, be available for emergency call-in or call-back work, and take formal trade school courses as selected by management.
Shift will be Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm, and candidate must be willing and able to perform basic electrical maintenance repair tasks in all areas of the facility.
The position requires that you have the ability to lift 50 pounds, work with heights, sit, stand, kneel, crawl, bend, and work in a variety of hot and cold situations.
